The same snow, just more nature As the ice crystals glisten on the branches, we use our five senses to experience the magic of winter. Enjoy physical exercise in the fresh air and learn the secrets of winter on our guided snowshoe hikes. Healthy exercise Snowshoes combine two gentle sports: pole walking – rhythmic walking with sticks – and hiking – in colder conditions. Snowshoes themselves are, of course, a must for traversing deep snow. This type of winter activity has become popular for good reason. In addition to enjoying nature, it's an excellent way to do endurance training, which has a positive effect on the cardiovascular system. Variety Our adventure hikes are intended to offer you an attractive alternative to traditional winter sports. With safe guidance, enjoy the tranquility and beauty of the cold season with ease and comfort. Away from the hustle and bustle on the slopes, you can relax and switch off from everyday life with an outdoor balance exercise. All age groups welcome Together with snowshoes, we travel through snowy forests, meadows, and gentle highlands. On family-friendly trips, we provide participants with many important and useful pieces of information about winter excursions. The selected routes are also perfect for beginners and are available to children from the age of 8. Skiing or mountain knowledge is not strictly necessary for participation. Also near you Our well-known excursion destinations are available throughout Austria: Spital am Pyhrn, Schobersteinhaus, and Kasberg (Upper Austria), Tauplitz and Teichalm (Styria), Göstling an der Ybbs and Reichenau an der Rax (Lower Austria), as well as Millstatt (Carinthia). For groups of 12 or more, we are also happy to organize individual tours to a location of your choice!

Guided snowshoe hike
Professional supervision by trained snowshoe hiking guides and outdoor trainers
Lots of information about hiking in winter
Hire of snowshoes, poles and gaiters

Physical requirements:

You do not need an extraordinary level of fitness. The Panorama Tour does not have any slope inclinations greater than 25 degrees. Ski or alpine knowledge is also not necessary!

Group size:

from 12 persons

Equipment / clothing:

Dress warmly, but in several layers according to the "onion principle". This way, the thermal effect can be adjusted to the conditions at any time.

Hat and gloves: They keep those body parts warm through which otherwise a large part of the warmth is lost.

Sun and cold protection for all exposed body parts (face, nose, ears). A good pair of sunglasses is especially important in winter!

Preferably waterproof, but breathable shoes with good insulation: Mountain shoes or winter boots with good support are suitable.

Pack enough to drink, as the loss of fluids is enormous during sweat-inducing activities. Insulated drinking systems make drinking on the go especially easy.
