Winter balloon flight in the Austrian Alps

Physical requirements:

A balloon flight is suitable for almost everyone. For safety reasons, children must be at least 130 cm tall or at least 12 years old. For underage passengers, we require the consent of a legal guardian.

In the case of heart, circulatory or lung diseases, hip or knee problems and in the case of pregnancy, we ask you to consult your doctor on your own responsibility.

Important Information:

As we fly with the wind, we cannot say in advance exactly in which direction we will be flying and where the landing site will be. Your pilot will choose a suitable landing site depending on the conditions and wind. The chase team will arrive there during or shortly after landing.

Weather:

"Safety first" - our experienced pilots check the weather conditions and forecasts carefully before every take-off. Reasons for excluding a take-off are, for example, strong ground winds, low clouds and poor visibility. Of course, we check the weather in advance so that unnecessary journeys can be avoided as far as possible. Nevertheless, it may happen that the launch has to be canceled at short notice for safety reasons. In this case, we ask for your understanding and will be happy to arrange a new date with you.

Duration:

With us, you will experience the balloon flight in all its facets - from rigging the balloon together to packing the balloon after landing. Afterwards, the traditional balloonist baptism takes place at the balloon garage. Allow 3 to 4 hours for your "balloon flight experience", of which you will spend approx. 1 hour in the air.

Group size:

The balloon experience can be booked individually or in a group of up to 20 people

Spectators:

Can I invite spectators? Yes, your family or friends are welcome to watch you take off and/or land. For safety reasons, all spectators must follow the instructions of our team.

Equipment / clothing:

Adapted to the season. It's best to dress as you would for a walk outside. As the balloon travels with the wind, there is no draught in the air - the temperature is therefore usually even milder than on the ground. In any case, sturdy shoes are important, as take-off and landing take place on meadows, which can also be damp depending on the weather. You are also welcome to bring sturdy gloves, long trousers and a top so that you can help with the balloon rigging.

Please bring along: Warm winter clothing, especially good waterproof footwear. As some of the flights take place at high altitudes over the main Alpine ridge, oxygen is of course provided for every passenger on board.

Flexibility:

You can gift the greatest possible flexibility with a voucher: This is valid for 3 years (from the date of independent activation).

Morning or evening flights, both have their own special charm. On the morning flight, the balloon actually takes off shortly after sunrise. The evening flight starts about 2 hours before sunset. The meeting point is always 1 hour before the start time, as a short briefing takes place beforehand and the balloon is made ready for take-off together.
